Colour To The World

The different layers of visuals surrounding us are full of information. Through my observations, ranging from scenically views of landscapes and cities to close ups of objects from fine art, crafts, fabrics, magazines, books and the mundane stuff I discovered it display a number of constant ‘patterns’. These patterns made up of elements such as lines, forms, marks, texture and colours. There is a wide variety and degrees of fragments within each ‘element’.
These ‘in-between’ spaces provide the terrain for elaborating strategies of selfhood –singular or communal- that ignite new signs of identity, and innovative sites of collaboration, and contestation, in the act of defining the idea of society itself. (Bhaba,1994:2)

Dear Aesop's Ghoose... It's o.k if you can't have any one of them home... but I see reflections painted all across the floor...plenty for us to take them home for free! The paintings serves as a beautiful reminder... for they truly belong up there in the spotlight!

Its not actually much about the visual outcome of painting, but the intention and process that make up the painting.

Reflections of life and bits of everything in life provides strong points that are shown in the works.

Plus some input on technicality, filtration and aesthetics in composition, the works are further enhanced.

Sometimes, in fact most of the times, less is more.

I've seen such experiences in enemy's work since his multi-fabric days. It's not easy for an artist to move on from his specific 'period'. Like Picasso, he moved on.

Enemy has moved on, but whether he turns around to look back, that you got to ask the artist himself.

Syabas friend.
